As we see the last of our pre-schoolers off to school, time for an update on what is happening at the nursery.
Important News: Calpol Policy
After taking advice on this matter we have decided to revise our policy regarding the administering of Calpol. We will administer only if other methods have not worked. However, we will call you to arrange immediate pick up of your child so that you may have them examined by a doctor. You will then be expected to keep your little one home for 24 hours. This serves as an infection control measure and is non-negotiable.
Monday 12th September see the introduction of our new menu. This menu has been developed for us by nutritionist, Charlotte Sterling Reed, who you may have seen on a number of TV programs or in publications such as Mother and Baby Magazine talking about this subject. We are very pleased to be able to get her advice and am sure you will all be taking an interest in the menu.
Teddy Bear’s picnic
The Babies and Mobiles rooms will be hosting the annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Thursday 15th September from 4.00 pm; all parents are invited along to see your children having fun in the garden.
1st September saw the start of an exciting new chapter at Bridge Lane with the start of gardening classes for preschool. Not only will they be growing their own food in the future but will help turn our “feature wall” in the garden into a living wall. Watch this space!
New grass in the garden will be arriving in the very near future so the garden will be looking spick and span.

5th September saw the return of Tatty Bumpkin Yoga classes with Preschool and Toddlers joining in a very enjoyable class.

No exit from side gate
Please do not use the side gate to exit. We have had occasions when parents have left the side gate open which poses a serious potential hazard to your children. We will settle children, it’s our job.
Staff changes this month see Sam becoming new Room Leader in Toddlers, as Geanina left for a job closer to home, and Claire is now in pre-school as Deputy Room Leader being mentored by Gabi and Nadea the Nursery Teachers and Myriam who is hugely experienced.
